Paradise (Jannah)

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I have prepared for My righteous slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart can ever imagine.’ [The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said] If you wish, recite, ‘No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for that they used to do’ (As-Sajdah 32:10).”

[Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

What Allah has prepared for His pious servants from the joys and delights of Paradise are far greater than the pleasures of this world, which pale into great insignificance in comparison.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A space the size of a whip in Paradise is better than this world and all that is in it.”  [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

Paradise: There is nothing Like it: The delights of Paradise surpass the imagination and defy description. As Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see a delight [that cannot be imagined], and a great dominion.” [Al-Insan 76:20]

There is nothing known to the people of this world; no matter how advanced we may become, what we achieve is nothing in comparison with the joys of the Hereafter.

As is mentioned in several reports, there is nothing like Paradise:

“It is sparkling light, sweet-smelling plants, a lofty palace, a flowing river, ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and abundant clothing, in an eternal home of happiness, in beautiful, soundly-constructed high houses.”

The Sahabah [companions] (radi Allahu anhum) asked the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) about the buildings of Paradise. He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied with a wonderful description:

“Bricks of gold and silver, and mortar of fragrant musk, pebbles of pearl and sapphire, and soil of saffron. Whoever enters it is filled with joy and will never feel miserable; he will live there forever and will never die; their clothes will never wear out and their youth will never fade.” [Musnad Ahmad, Sunan Tirmidhi, and Ad-Daarimi]

True Success is entrance into Paradise and avoiding the Hell-Fire, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire] (or been successful).” [Ali-Imran 3:185]

We ask Allah to make us from the people of Paradise and to keep us away from the Hell-Fire.

And Allah knows best!
