The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “A man will not be let go on the Day of Resurrection until he has been asked about four matters: His life and how he spent it, his knowledge and what he did with it, his wealth and how he earned it and his body and how he used it.”
[At-Tirmidhi - Classed as Sahih by Sh al-Albaani]
In another narration similar to the above Hadith (which is also found in At-Tirmidhi) it mentions that you will also be asked about your youth as the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘his youth and how he used it.’
On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be asked about all the deeds which he did in this world, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): So, by your Lord (O Muhammad), We shall certainly call all of them to account. For all that they used to do. (Al-Hijr 15: 92-93)
So five of the things we will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection are:
- Your life and how you spent it.
- Your youth and how you used it.
- Your wealth, how you earnt it and how you spent it.
- Your knowledge and what you did with it.
- Your body and how you used it.
And Allah knows best!
