When Ramadan comes

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are put in chains.”

[Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Commentary:

We benefit from this Hadith that in the month of Ramadan the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are shut, and the devils are chained up.

In another narration Al-Nasaa’i narrated from Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When Ramadan comes, the gates of mercy are opened and the gates of Hell are shut, and the devils are put in chains.” [Classed as Sahih by Sh al-Albaani in Sahih al-Jaami’, 471]

The month of Ramadan is an opportunity for every Muslim to do good deeds, so we should make the most of this month by using our time wisely by performing deeds and actions which will benefit us in this life and the next.

And Allah knows best!
